This month is the month that we will be beginning our church vision and growth process. Ken Kessler will be leading us through several guided times where we can come together and express our hopes and dreams for the future as well as looking at our past and celebrating our successes and dealing with any issues that may be there.
The dates that we will be working with Ken are February 19th and 26th, March 4th and 18th, and April 1st. These are the dates that we will be sharing with one another. Then, on April 21st we will have a “retreat” where we will lay out the ways that the church can move forward into the future that God has planned for us.
I hope that all of you will be involved in the discussions so that we can hear all of your hearts. I know that God has great things in store for Oak Dale and this is just the beginning of it all. I hope that all of you will be in prayer for the church as we go through this process.
Also, as many of you already know, I have begun a daily time of prayer for a specific family in the church. I have been praying for each of you, but now I would like to know how I can be in prayer for you in a specific manner. I will be calling you the day before I pray to let you know. Then, if you have any requests let me know at that time or any time during the day that I am praying. However, don’t wait to let me know how I can be in prayer for you. If you have a specific request at any time, please call, e-mail, or Facebook me and I will begin to lift you up.
Finally, I want to wish you all a Happy Valentine’s day. May you feel the loving arms of God around you at all times.
